Dr. Martha K. Ogilvie is the Associate Vice President for Research at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She has administrative responsibility for ensuring the continuity of daily operations of all pre-award functions related to the administration of sponsored research and creative activities. Her staff ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Before assuming this position, Dr. Ogilvie has served at the OUHSC as the administrative director of the Harold Hamm Oklahoma Diabetes Center and director for the OUHSC Intellectual Property Management Office (IPMO). Prior to joining OUHSC four years ago, Dr. Ogilvie served as Director for Single Family Data Quality and Disclosure at Fannie Mae. She was responsible for directing all aspects of data use and requirements within Single Family services and promoted treatment of data and information as critical business assets.
Prior to Fannie Mae, Ogilvie was part of the Celera Corporation, the company that pioneered Human Genome mapping. She was responsible for managing Celera customer care operations, technical sales, and formulating new business models that enabled Celera to maintain a highly competitive position within the biotechnology industry worldwide. Ogilvie also brings a foundation of political experience having served as a political appointee in Washington DC.
Ogilvie has a Doctorate and Masters of Science in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from the University of Oklahoma, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Grinnell College.
