The Graduate College is now receiving applications for the 2019 Summer Undergraduate Research
Programs at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. There are four separate programs:
the Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE), the Native American Research Centers for
Health (NARCH), The Oklahoma IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (OK-INBRE), and the
Cancer Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) Summer Programs. Again this year, approximately
60 students will be hosted in labs on the OUHSC campus and across the OK-INBRE network. All
participants will receive valuable research experience, be given the chance to present their summer
projects at a poster competition, and receive a generous stipend.
The deadline to apply is February 5th, 2019.
The online application and additional information about these programs are on the SURP website, below.

The Oklahoma IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (OK-INBRE) is requesting applications
for Research Project Investigator Awards (RPI). The program seeks to support proposals designed to
generate preliminary data that enhances the competitiveness of the OUHSC/OMRF investigators for
future extramural funding. The proposed project must align with one of the biomedical research themes
of the OK-INBRE program: Cancer, Developmental Biology or Infectious Diseases. The RPI project period
is 2 ½ years in duration funded at $100,000 in direct costs per year. Selected projects will commence in
