Lipidomics and Metabolomics

The Lipidomics and Metabolomics Core provides consultation for experiment design in study of lipids, polar metabolites and other small molecules, state-of-the-art mass spectrometers, and advanced bioinformatic tools to the entire OUHSC research community and external researchers. Our mass spectrometry-based solutions can be used to study a wide range of biomedical questions from untargeted biomarker discovery, lipid ID in protein-lipd complexes, to targeted quantitation of signaling lipids/polar metabolites and other small molecule toxins.

Services Offered

  • Untargeted lipidomics and metabolomics
  • Lipid ID in protein-lipd complexes
  • Targeted assay for small molecules
  • Bioinformatic analysis
  • Imaging mass spectrometry (DESI and MALDI)
