The Office of Technology Development will offer the Innovation to Impact Series Session 4 – “Post Graduate

Venture Fellowship Program.” Hear from a current Venture Fellow commercializing technology from his graduate

research; Explore the skills needed for a career in industry or entrepreneurship and  Learn about program details,

including selection, curriculum and goals. Vince Sandifer, current Venture Fellow, will be presenting. This session

will occur on November 20th  from Noon- 1:00 pm in Biomedical Research Center Building,  Room 103. Lunch will

NIH: All pending support at the time of application submission and prior to award must be reported using

"Just-in-Time Procedures" by providing all information indicated above. Applicants are responsible for promptly

notifying NIH of any substantive changes to previously submitted Just-in-Time information up to the time of award,

including "Other Support" changes that must be assessed for budgetary or scientific overlap. Further, if other support,

as described as above, is obtained after the initial NIH award period, from any source either through the institution or

directly to senior/key personnel, the details must be disclosed in the annual research performance progress report

(RPPR). Post-award, recipients must address any substantive changes by submitting a prior approval request to NIH

in accordance with the NIHGPS section on "Administrative Requirements-Changes in Project and Budget-NIH

Standard Terms of Award."

  1. UCB is looking to engage with academia in the gene therapy space for developing new treatments

for neurological disorders.  Focus areas* include:

a. Viral delivery approaches using AAV or non-viral approaches (e.g., LNPs or EVs)

b. Accessory approaches facilitating better delivery/enhanced expression of genes

c. Approaches targeting gene therapy candidates and their allied pathways

d. Out of scope: lentiviral or antisense oligonucleotide delivery approaches (unless transformed for

    use in AAV)

*Basic/pre-clinical research stages are within scope; however, highest priority is research with existing in vivo validation.
