Workshops and Seminars
Compliance and Research Workshop
Date: February 17, 2022; 9:00 – 11:00 am
Description: Research activities are subject to an increasing array of regulations. Breaking these regulations can result in scandals that undermine the quality of research and harm the University’s reputation. Compliance helps ensure that the University operates within the law and stays true to its ethical principles by preventing the problem from occurring in the first place. The Office of the Vice President for Research (VPR) in partnership with the Office of Research Administration (ORA) & Grants and Contracts Accounting (GCA) invite you to participate in this workshop that will address key aspects of the compliance issues in sponsored research.
Speakers:
- Sandra Nettleton, Office of Compliance
- Dr. Michelle Staudt, Research Integrity Office
- Rachel McCombs, Office of Legal Counsel
- Andrew Reader, Office of Export Controls
- Dr. Martha Ogilvie, Acting Vice President for Research
- Dr. Gina McMillen, Office of Technology Commercialization
- Samantha Harbert, Office of Human Research Participant Protection
