Dr. Martha K. Ogilvie is the Interim Vice President for Research at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences campus. She has administrative responsibility for furthering the University’s research goals through providing the highest quality support to constituents while meeting the complex regulatory requirements in the University environment. In this role, she works to ensure the continuity of daily operations of the Office of the Vice President for Research: OUHSC pre-award and non-financial post-award functions including grants, clinical trials, contracts, the Animal Care and Use program, and Research Resources.
Before assuming this position, she was the administrative director of the OU Health Harold Hamm Diabetes Center and director for the OUHSC Intellectual Property Management Office (IPMO). Prior to joining OUHSC, Dr. Ogilvie served as Director for Single Family Data Quality and Disclosure at Fannie Mae. She was responsible for directing all aspects of data use and requirements within Single Family services and promoted treatment of data and information as critical business assets.
Prior to Fannie Mae, Ogilvie was part of the Celera Corporation, the company that pioneered Human Genome mapping. She was responsible for managing Celera customer care operations, technical sales, and formulating new business models that enabled Celera to maintain a highly competitive position within the biotechnology industry worldwide.
Ogilvie has a Doctorate and Masters of Science in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from the University of Oklahoma, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Grinnell College.
