Proposal Submission Timeline Calculating Tool
The Office of Research Administration (ORA) is pleased to announce the addition of a new proposal submission timeline calculating tool to the Research Administration website, which principal investigators and grant administrators can use to ensure they are meeting required internal review deadlines for submitting proposals to our office.
To use this calculator, please select your proposal type (Single Project Proposal vs. Multi-Project Proposal) and enter the sponsor's submission deadline in the box to calculate the date your proposal will be due to ORA (finalized proposal documents including all required signatures). The tool also calculates the due date to ORA for an optional proposal budget review.
Please follow the link below to access the calculating tool.

The Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) Pilot Project RFA
Description: The NIH/NIGMS-funded Oklahoma Center of Biomedical Research Excellence (COBRE) in Microbial Pathogenesis and Immunity invites proposals for pilot project awards. Pilot projects will enable investigators to generate data to support new lines of investigation funded by national level awards. The pilot project may constitute the entire basis for a new national level (NIH or NSF) funding proposal, or may extend the scope or strengthen a planned application. Pilot projects must be of high significance and enhance or generate funding proposals that will exert a high impact on the applicant’s field of research.
Eligibility Requirements: The project Principal Investigator (PI) must be a consecutive term, tenure-track, or tenured faculty member at an Institution in the State of Oklahoma. First preference will be given to junior investigators within 5 years of their initial appointment and who currently hold NIH New Investigator status. Established investigators (NIH Established Investigator, Associate Professor, and Professor) and those beyond the initial 5 year period are eligible, but the applicant must clearly demonstrate how the pilot project will add a new element or direction to the PI’s research program. The PI may not concurrently hold other COBRE or INBRE support as a full project or pilot project PI. This includes other COBRE programs in Oklahoma. Past recipients of pilot project awards will be considered for a second award contingent on priority and having fulfilled all requirements of the previous award.
Awards: The award will be $50,000 per annum in direct costs. Institutional F&A costs will also be provided for applicants at institutions outside of OUHSC. Projects may be funded for up to 2 years contingent upon fulfilling award requirements and satisfactory progress. Sub-contracts are not allowable.
Application Deadline: 5pm, March 31, 2023
