NIH Prior Agreement Required for $500,000+ Direct Costs

For applications requesting $500,000 or more direct costs for any year, applicants must seek agreement to accept assignment from Institute/Center staff at least 6 weeks prior to the anticipated submission of any application. See https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-02-004.html. DEADLINE EXTENDED TO SATURDAY, MAY 11th at noon:  The OK Catalyst Researchers

program provides training and resources on how to start a business for graduate students, post-docs, and faculty conducting research in STEM-related fields from Oklahoma universities. There will be lectures from subject matter experts every week and a chance to win up to $3,000. Applicants

should have an interest in entrepreneurship and product development and propose an innovative project in a STEM-related field.  Compete to win up to $3,000.  For complete information see the attached document.

 

NIH/NIGMS IDeA Central Region Conference – Registration deadline May 15!

The 2019 IDeA Central Region Conference will be held June 12 - 14, 2019 at the Sheraton Oklahoma City Downtown Hotel.  The conference will highlight IDeA research programs (COBRE, INBRE, IDeA-CTR, STTR and ISPCTN) and will feature thematic breakout sessions, a poster session for both faculty and students, student research presentations, NIH program officers, and opportunities for networking and collaboration.  Faculty and students are invited to attend.  The IDeA central region states include Oklahoma, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.

University of Oklahoma is hosting the national Small Business Administration SBIR Road Tour on May 20th at the Oklahoma Hall of Fame. While this event is focused on the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR/STTR) program, there will be a lot of opportunity for one-on-one meetings with different

program managers and many of the program managers may also be involved with traditional academic R&D funding. Please see the attached document for additional information.

This outline should be used when developing and writing investigator-initiated protocols.   Please discard the old outline version dated 2009.

  1.  CONSENT TEMPLATE 701-G UPDATED 4/19/2019: This revised consent template includes a NEW and REQUIRED section for participant rights over

personal data and information. Please discard all previous 701-G templates you may have saved and use the new version dated 04/19/2019.
