The mission of the of the Institutional Research Core Facility is to provide outstanding customer service and facilitate a high-quality, up-to-date experience for scientific researchers.  While the core is a fee-for-service facility, a major goal of the core is to be a research environment for multidisciplinary research and education that utilizes the latest technologies to tackle complex biological and medical problems.

Sequencing/Genomics

The Core Sequencing and Genomics facility offers an array of services aimed at facilitating the research of a variety of different investigators across a multitude of disciplines.

Flow Cytometry and Imaging

The Flow and Image Cytometry Laboratory provides the University of Oklahoma research community with state-of-the-art cell analysis and sorting instrumentation, and the technical expertise to best utilize this technology.

Metabolomics

The Metabolomics unit of the core provides quantitative and qualitative metabolomic analyses on samples from a wide variety of biological matrices, e.g. blood, serum, plasma, tissues, cell extracts, etc., to support both clinical and basic research efforts on campus.

Proteomics

The Proteomics division of the Core is committed to providing the highest quality services related to proteomic analysis, specifically biomolecule mass spectrometry.

Bioinformatics

Applying computer technology to the understanding and effective use of biological and biomedical data.

High Containment Biological Safety Laboratory Core

Enabling access to experimentation with high containment pathogens in a safe and compliant environment through investigator partnerships and integration of innovative research protocols.

Laboratory of Biomolecular Structure and Function

Enabling investigation into structural aspects of macromolecule targets
